Chicago, IL (April 26, 2016) — The Awards and Personalization Association has announced its 2016-2017 Board of Directors.
Mario Scarano, CRS* (Jan Mar Trophy Company, New Rochelle, NY) is elevated to the role of president; he served as president-elect in 2015-2016. Richard Korbyl (Columbia Awards & Recognition, Edmonton, AB, Canada) takes on the position of president- elect; Cody Stewart (Eternity Creations, Sulphur Springs, TX), is the new secretary/treasurer; and Greg Della Badia, CAM* (Tropar Manufacturing, Florham Park, NJ) assumes the role of past president.
Scarano’s theme is the “Power of Personalization.” “The power of personalization drew our industry out of sporting goods stores decades ago and we haven’t stopped evolving since. Amid all that has changed, two things remain constants—the power of personalization, which fuels our industry, and the association that helps our companies flourish.”

Newly elected directors are retailer Lisa R. Higginbotham, CRS* (5Star Awards, Cary, NC) and suppliers Tom Jackson (Jackson Marking Products, Mount Vernon, IL ); Warren Knipple (Trotec Laser, Canton, MI ); Dan Messerschmidt (JDS Industries, Sioux Falls, SD); and Peter Norman (IKONICS, Duluth, MN). Returning directors are retailers Michelle Bitterly, CRM* (Awards & Engraving, Baytown, TX); John Stangle, CRM (Creative Awards & Screen Printing LLC, Wichita, KS); and Rick Woltman (Woltman Trophies & Awards, Bridgeton, MO) and suppliers Amy Dallman (Epilog Laser Corp., Golden, CO); and Karen Guzman (Identification Plates, Inc, Mesquite, TX). The new directors were sworn in at the 2016 Member Breakfast and Annual Meeting on March 4 at the International Awards & Personalization Expo in Las Vegas, NV.
