Meet the 2017-2018 Officers and Board

The Awards and Personalization Association recently announced its 2017-2018 Officers and Board.

Chicago, IL (March 2, 2017) — The Awards and Personalization Association recently announced its 2017-2018 Officers and Board.

Richard Korbyl (Columbia Awards & Recognition, Edmonton, AB, Canada) is elevated to the role of president; he served as president-elect in 2016-2017. Cody Stewart (Eternity Creations, Sulphur Springs, TX), takes on the position of president- elect; Karen Guzman, CRS* (Identification Plates, Mesquite, TX) is the new secretary/treasurer; and Mario Scarano, CRS* (Jan Mar Trophy Company, New Rochelle, NY) assumes the role of past president.

Korbyl’s theme for his year of presidency is “Personalize Your Success!” “The Awards and Personalization Association understands the challenges which each member faces. The association is there to provide effective tools, practical resources, and industry leadership which will help each member personalize their own success,” says Korbyl.

Korbyl and the 2017-2018 Awards and Personalization Association officers are looking forward to serving the membership with the following directors of the Board. Newly elected directors are retailer Mark Warren, CRM* (American Awards & Promotions, LLC, Milton, WI); and supplier Mike Fruciano (Rowmark, LLC, Phoenix, AZ). Returning directors are retailers Michelle Bitterly, CRM* (Awards & Engraving, Baytown, TX); Lisa R. Higginbotham, CRS* (5Star Awards, Cary, NC); and Rick Woltman (Woltman Trophies & Awards, Bridgeton, MO). Returning supplier directors are Amy Dallman (Epilog Laser Corp., Golden, CO); Tom Jackson (Jackson Marking Products, Mount Vernon, IL ); Warren Knipple (Trotec Laser, Plymouth, MI ); Dan Messerschmidt (JDS Industries, Sioux Falls, SD); and Peter Norman (IKONICS, Duluth, MN). The new directors were sworn in at the 2017 Member Breakfast and Annual Meeting on February 9 at the International Awards & Personalization Expo in Las Vegas, NV.

The Awards and Personalization Association Board directs and oversees association activities including the planning of the trade shows, the development and support of member benefits, and the publication of Insights magazine.
