The Foundations of Sandcarving: Hands-on Session

In this course, you will master how to sandcarve a variety of substrates. Pick your choice whether it be glass, ceramic, or a slate coaster and practice how to sandcarve, using various techniques including deep carving, surface etch, color-filling, and more!
You will not only reach new customers through the unique avenue of sandcarving, but you will also receive a fancy new drinking glass that you get to etch and take home!

Colorfill: Hands-on Session

During this color fill session, you will experiment using various paints. Every participant will paint a wine bottle, wine glass, and rock, as well as sandcarve one project for a highly unique textured (relief carve) appearance. Learn the techniques for painting and applications that we recommend for various materials.
You can add a color fill or splash of color to virtually any surface, glass, stone, wood, and metal to increase the value and interest of your sandcarved product. A color fill provides contrast to the etched area and a beautiful appearance, which can expand your product line and profits. You do not have to be an artist to know your products!
